Sports have always played a major role in people's lives. Leagues such as the NFL, NHL and soccer leagues around the world are seeing never-before-seen successes and rises in popularity. Fans cannot get enough of their favorite teams.
This, then, is where social media comes into play. Applications such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Vine are giving fans unprecedented access to their favorite teams and players. But this is a wild, untamed frontier. Where are the lines that one should not cross? What is the best way to interact with fans and other teams?
That is where The Social Sideline comes in. TSS will look into the world of social media and sports, breaking down successful interaction strategies, what to do and not do and how professional teams and athletes are adapting to social media.
